About Faridabad

Faridabad is the most densely populated city in the Indian state of Haryana and part of the region of the National Capital of Delhi. It is one of the most important satellite cities around Delhi and is 284 kilometers south of the capital Chandigarh. The Yamuna River forms the border of the Eastern District in Uttar Pradesh. The recently developed industrial and residential part of Faridabad between the Yamuna River and the Agra Canal is commonly referred to as Greater Faridabad. The locality is becoming a self-contained suburb with tall buildings, shopping malls, wide streets, educational institutions and health and shopping centers.

There are nine metro stations in the Faridabad corridor of the Delhi metro all of which are elevated. Local trains run between New Delhi and Faridabad. The area is well connected to Delhi through Delhi Faridabad Skyway (Badarpur Flyover). It is connected to the cities of Gurugram through Gautam Buddha Nagar of Uttar Pradesh and Faridabad Gurugram Road (SH137). The region is served by Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, which is about 35 km from Faridabad. The airport is the busiest in India with domestic and international flight connections.

The region is home to large-scale companies like India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd., Escorts Limited, Havells India Limited, JCB India Limited, Indian Oil (R&S), Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Whirlpool India Ltd., ABB Group, Goodyear India Ltd More than 5,000 auto parts manufacturers are located in Faridabad.
