Kothurd is an industrial and residential suburb of Pune is surrounded by Panchawati to the north, Warje to the south, Chandani Chowk to the west and Erandwane to the east. It is historically famous for being among the key areas in the region including Bhusari Colony, Rambaug Colony, Anand Nagar and Mahatma Society. Some key projects in the area are Ranade Madhumita Apartment, SkyiManas Lake, Gokhale Anantam, etc.
The area is well served via PMPML (Local Municipal) transport services with two main bus depots offering connections to all major parts of Pune. The place is well connected to the rest of the city via the Pune railway station. Pune International Airport is about 10-12 km from the city.
