The locality Sector 85 falls in Gurugram district situated in Haryana state, with a population of 3941. The male and female populations are 2131 and 1810 respectively. The size of the area is about 1.62 square kilometers. Punjabi is the Local Language here. Placed between Sector 84 and Sector 86, it is bounded by Sector 86 Road to its north and Dwarka Expressway Link Road to its south. Sector houses massive high-rise apartment complexes, most of which are under construction, while some have been completed. Some of the prominent apartment buildings here are SS the Leaf, Godrej Air, Orris Carnation Residency, Orris Aster Court and Pyramid Heights.

Being near NH-48 has boosted the real estate potential of Sector 85. It connects the sector to the prime retail and corporate hub of Gurugram. Apart from this, Gurugram Railway Station and IGI Airport are also well connected. The area enjoys proximity to both NH-48 and Dwarka Expressway, just 3 km away. Both these roads are important for long-distance connectivity and it takes only 10 minutes to reach them.

Social and retail infrastructure is developing in the area; however, there is a good presence of schools, hospitals, clinics and shopping centers nearby. These include Yaduvanshi International School, Matrikiran High School and Euro International School, Careocity multi-speciality Clinic, Medior Hospital, Vatika Town Square Mall and Sapphire 83 Mall.
