About Tathawade

Tathawade is a new suburb on the northwestern outskirts of Pune. The district is part of the Pimpri-Chinchwad region, which is influenced by the Pune metropolitan region. Tathawade is located on the Mumbai Highway (NH-48) and has a communal community with Wakad, Punawale, Ravet, Hinjewadi and Nigdi. Proximity to major employment centers in Hinjewadi has been a major factor driving the demand for properties in this area. Being an educational hub, the area also has many completed and under-construction high-rise apartment projects. Major projects include Paranjape Azure, Goel Ganga Amber, Rohan Ananta, Bhojwani the Nook and Goel Ganga Cypress.

The locality is well connected to the main city of Pune. It is located 19 kilometers from the city center and is well connected via Mumbai Expressway and Aundh-Ravet BRTS Road. Also, Akurdi Railway Station is the nearest railway station which also provides connectivity to Pune Junction. Pune International Airport is nearly 26 km away and can be reached in about 1 hour.

Some of the famous educational institutions and hospitals in and around Tathawade are Indira College of Commerce and Science, JSPM Institutes, Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, Blossom Public School, Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital and Ojai Multidisciplinary Hospital. The area does not have any major malls but is well connected with prominent retail outlets such as Dmart Ravet, Xion Mall, City One Mall and Premier Plaza Mall.

This area is about 20-25 minutes away from Hinjewadi which has several business parks, industrial units and technology districts. The main Rajiv Gandhi IT Park is located nearly 9 km from the area where major IT/ITeS organizations are located. It also owns offices and manufacturing units in some biotech and automotive companies. Major companies operating here are Wipro, IBM, Cognizant, TCS, Capgemini, Infosys and many more.
